Tun Nyunt (1908-1993)

U Tun Nyunt was born in 1908, in Kyaiktaw village of Tuntay township of father U Lu Galy and mother Daw Mi. He studied art under such masters as U Ba Zaw, Saya Saung, U Ngwe Gaing and U San Win. In 1954 , he studied paingitn ar Okalahoma under a Fullbright scolarship and in New Zealand in 1959 under a Colombo Plan Grant, He was equally at ease in both water colour and oils but was more proficient in water colour painting
